Why hospitality → tech?
After nearly a decade in restaurants I learned to love the community, the chaos, and making people happy. I think engineering is a bit of the same. It's a lot of problem solving, making things better, and occasionally there's a fire to put out :)
How do you use AI in your workflow?
Working with AI makes me more efficient. I am careful to plan, dissect output, refactor, and refine. I try to write by hand as well, but it's useful having a friend along the way. I have a rules file that is specific to the way I work, and I love when the agents actually follow it (wink).
Why side projects instead of resting?
I enjoy learning new technologies, and building is the best way to achieve that. It's kind of similar to learning a foreign language: you get there faster by immersion and speaking it with others.
